Mitey Mites
Mitey Mites is a development program for beginning players who are interested in joining youth hockey. The program usually consists of 4 to 8 year olds. The focus of this program is to teach young players the basics of skating, stopping, stick handling, shooting, and being a part of the team. Most of all, Mitey Mites give players a chance to get on the ice and have fun!
Ages
The program is composed of 4 to 8 year olds who are new to playing hockey.
When
The program runs from beginning of October to End of February.
Registrations open in August of each year.
Where
All practices are held at North Olmsted Recreation Center- 2600 Lorain Rd, North Olmsted OH, 44070
Practices
Almost all sessions are held Sundays.
Games
Games will be scheduled after December with other learn to play programs in the area.
Game days may vary from Sundays.
USA Hockey Registration
In order to register, all players must be registered with USA Hockey to participate in the Mitey Mite program. The annual registration date for USA hockey begins April 1st. To register with USA Hockey, click the link below.
Equipment and Fees
The first four weeks are free!
Season dues are $100 including jersey, socks, and stick.
You will have the option to purchase protective equipment sets from Pure Hockey or can purchase on your own.
2025-2026 Pure Hockey Equipment Ordering Information
- Families will be provided the Pure Hockey equipment link after registration.
- Equipment ordering site goes live on Friday 8/22/2025.
- Ordering closes on 09/07/2025.
- All orders will be shipped by 9/26/2025.
- Orders will arrive at specified home addresses.

2025-2026 Mitey Mite Program
This season will run from the beginning of October 2025 to end of February 2026.
Almost all sessions are held Sunday mornings 9:15AM - 10:15AM unless otherwise communicated.
Registration Cost
The first month is free.
Full season dues are $100 and charged November 1st.
Equipment Information
You have the option to purchase protective equipment sets from Pure Hockey (information provided following registration.)
Families may also choose to purchase and piece their own equipment set together.
A helmet is required to participate. Skates may be rented from the recreation center for new skaters.
