The Mitey Mite program is made-up of players who want to Learn to Play and will focus heavily on skating and development of basic hockey skills.

This program runs on Sunday mornings from October through February.

This year our Mitey Mite season will run from October 10 until end of February.  Our first session will be on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at 11:45am.

NOHC Mitey Mite Registration

After registration, please check in at North Olmsted Recreation Center with your child on Sunday, October 10, try to get there early as you must get them ready to take the ice!

For the first couple sessions, prior to equipment day, please bring either a bike helmet or something similar, if you do not have a helmet of some sort a thick winter hat will work.

Your child should either know how to skate, have been on skates a few times or have taken some Learn to Skate lessons prior to registering for Mitey Mites.

The NOHC does have equipment to purchase for the season.  These are great starter kits if your child seems to take a liking to the great sport of ice hockey.  We introduce equipment starting in mid November.

At the end of the February sessions, typically the players will appear ready for “game-action” and advance to participate in our Mite ADM program the following season.

This year we will include approximately three (3) Game Days!  These days the kids will be divided up into equal teams and play cross ice games with on ice instructions from the coaches.

This is the level you want to start your child if they know how to skate, but have not played hockey.  Learn to Skate programs are highly recommended prior to registering for Mitey Mites.  Learn to Skate programs can be found here.
